Only 2 babies came today - Siena and Leslie, but we had a great time. Siena was unhappy for a little while and didn't settle until we brought out the paint - then she loved it!
We made butterflies today by painting the butterfly shape and the folding in half and squishing the paint - Siena was hooked on blue and was not interested in any other colour!
We then moved onto making ants - using egg cartons (3 egg containers) and pipe cleaners. The girls then painted these - they continued to call them spiders!
After painting we had snack and talked about the insects - having big plastic insects to talk about on the table. Singing songs about insects as well. leslie kept the St Patricks day hat most of the lesson.
Moved onto doing some puzzles and sewing cards, and then just played with the new wooden puzzles. Sis Jerelyn helped out in the nursery, and Tahnee came in to take some photos - (over 70 being taken!)

Winter activities/music time:
1. dress-up in winter gear-hats, mittens, boots.
2. throw rolled up white socks(snowballs) into a black hat (snowman's hat)
3. march, skip, jog, jump, callop, walk, tiptoe, crazywalk to the music of frosty the snowman and each child has a turn to wear snowman's hat a chose an activity and everyone copies them
4. use packing peanuts (snow) and small plastic shovels, rakes, buckets, etc. and play with them
5. use white bed sheet as a parachute-have everyone hold on edges and fly up/down sheet fast/slow and take turns for boys and girls hide under parachute
